Part 3 Success
Jordan Nolan passed his Part 3 with Distinction and will soon join the Architects Register – congratulations, Jordan!
Director Clare Ogle and Sarah Brady attended the official opening of Ardnashee School and College. Clare received an award for her outstanding contribution to Ardnashee School and College at its official opening – a truly memorable event.
Matthew Graham is now a Certified Passivhaus Designer, and Felix Gibson successfully completed his ICE NEC4 Project Management exam – brilliant additions to our expertise.
Learning Environments NI 2025
A successful day at the Learning Environments NI Conference 2025
Yesterday, our Director Clare Ogle was delighted to present alongside Raymond McFeeters, Principal of Ardnashee School and College, on the topic of SEN provision and the design of the new Ardnashee School and College. Their presentation explored how thoughtful, inclusive design can enhance educational experiences and support every learner’s potential.
The session also highlighted other Samuel Stevenson & Sons education projects, including St Ronan’s College, Lurgan and the Ballycastle Shared Education Campus, demonstrating the breadth of our expertise and commitment to delivering inspiring, high–quality educational environments across Northern Ireland.
Belmayne Educate Together Secondary School – Phase 2 completion
Project Milestone Achieved! We’re proud to announce the successful completion of Phase 2 of Belmayne Educate Together Secondary School, delivered in partnership with JV partners OHMG Ltd & OHLA Ireland for the Department of Education Ireland.
This milestone provides 11,800m² of modern learning space designed to accommodate 1,000 pupils. Phase 2 included the remaining accommodation to complete key subject areas such as Science, Technology, Graphics as well as a dedicated Specialist Education Department and Multi–purpose Hall.

We’re proud to celebrate the success of Woodvale Construction, who were recognised at last night’s CEF Awards, taking home Education Project of the Year for Ardnashee School & College!
Samuel Stevenson & Sons were privileged to act as Architect and Project Manager on this transformative educational project—working closely with an exceptional team to deliver a space that truly supports learning, wellbeing, and community.

Staff Development Day

First off we visited one of our current project, St Ronan’s College, Lurgan for a site visit with Glasgiven Construction, followed by lunch in the gorgeous Doyen.
Next we got our game faces on and headed to Prison Island Belfast where we had an absolute blast! The evening finished up at Bullhouse East, where the sun even came out for the occasion!
RSUA Professional Insights Programme 2025
In partnership with Belfast’s two schools of Architecture, Samuel Stevenson & Sons were delighted to host 4 students through the RSUA Professional Insights Programme 2025, with an aim to give undergraduates an initial understanding of the real– life work of an architect!
With the support of Heron Bros, our students visited Ballycastle Shared Education Campus and met with members of the Contractors team, that offered insight into the various stages of construction.
We are delighted that during Women in Construction Week that Ardnashee School and College has been selected as a feature in Perspective Magazine to celebrate International Women’s Day and the RSUA Women in Architecture Group, highlighting some of the women in our team who are helping deliver this project.
Project News
Samuel Stevenson & Sons are delighted to have been appointed as Lead Consultant and Architects to design the new Mercy College School Belfast, one of seven new build projects in Northern Ireland announced by Education Minister Paul Given and we are looking forward to leading its delivery with our Integrated Consultant Team.

New Appointments
We are pleased to start off the New Year with the appointment of Sarah Brady and Nicholas Robinette as Associate Directors in the Practice.
Sarah joined the Practice in 2023 as a Chartered Architect bringing a wealth of design experience from a large UK Practice. Sarah is a member of the RSUA Council and accredited NEC4 Project Manager.
Nicholas is a Chartered Technologist who joined the Practice in 2020 and has provided a significant technical contribution including developing our BIM Level 2 protocols and is also an accredited NEC4 Project Manager.
We are delighted to have them both join the management team!
